Tapped Density

TAPPED DENSITY - USP Tapped density is achieved by mechanically tapping a volumetric cylinder containing a powder. The tapping is achieved by raising the cylinder and letting it drop under its own weight from a specific height. The mass increase is measured.

The Tapped Density Testers have been designed to measure the tapped density of powders, granules and similar products in accordance with USP Chapter <616> Method 2 and European Pharmacopoeia Chapter 2.9.15.
